Eduard Mörike

Eduard Friedrich Mörike (born September 8, 1804 , in Ludwigsburg ,Electorate of Württemberg ; died June 4, 1875 , in Stuttgart , Kingdom of Württemberg ) was a German lyric poet of the Swabian School , a storyteller , and a translator . He worked as a Protestant pastor, but struggled with this profession until his early retirement. He can be considered a literary representative of the Biedermeier period .
