Es war, als h\u00e4tt\u2018 der Himmel<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die Erde still gek\u00fc\u00dft,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Da\u00df sie im Bl\u00fctenschimmer<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Von ihm nun tr\u00e4umen m\u00fc\u00dft\u2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die Luft ging durch die Felder,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die \u00c4hren wogten sacht,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Es rauschten leis\u2018 die W\u00e4lder,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So sternklar war die Nacht.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Und meine Seele spannte<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Weit ihre Fl\u00fcgel aus,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flog durch die stillen Lande,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Als fl\u00f6ge sie nach Haus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was as if the heavens<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Had softly kissed the earth<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That she amidst the blossoms<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She must now dream of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The breeze swept through the fields<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fields of grain swept gently<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While forests murmured softly<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the starlit night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And my soul spread wide its wings<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flying across the quiet lands<\/p>\n\n\n\n

to find its way home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
