{"id":636,"date":"2024-04-15T07:16:29","date_gmt":"2024-04-15T07:16:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brigittepoetry.com\/?p=636"},"modified":"2026-05-28T05:21:30","modified_gmt":"2026-05-28T05:21:30","slug":"heimat-wiederfinden-finding-home-again","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/germanpoetry.com\/de\/heimat-wiederfinden-finding-home-again\/","title":{"rendered":"Heimat wiederfinden &#8211; Finding home again"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ein St\u00fcck Heimat tragen wir in unseren Herzen<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">seit Kindheitstagen, bis wir sie in der Ferne wiederfinden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Den See in dem wir mit Freunden badeten,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">das Flussufer, an dem wir den Wellen nachschauten,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die W\u00e4lder, in denen wir den V\u00f6geln lauschten &#8211;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">all das tragen wir mit uns in die Ferne,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">bis eines Morgens die V\u00f6gel auf einem Spaziergang<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">das Lied von zu Hause singen, und der Geruch von trockenem Heu<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">uns zur\u00fcck in die Felder und Wiesen der Kindheit tr\u00e4gt,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">und zur\u00fcck unsere Heimat wieder zu finden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><em>I <\/em><em>carr<\/em><em>ied <\/em><em>a <\/em><em>part of home in <\/em><em>my <\/em><em>heart<\/em> <em>since childhood days &#8211;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><em>T<\/em><em>he <\/em><em>lake where <\/em><em>I <\/em><em>went swimming with friends,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">The <em>riverbanks where <\/em><em>I <\/em><em>watched the waves stream by,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><em>The light green forests where I listened to the birds &#8211;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><em>All this, <\/em><em>I carried <\/em><em>with <\/em><em>me <\/em><em>into the world<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><em>until<\/em> <em>one morning, on a walk,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><em>the birds s<\/em><em>ang <\/em><em>a <\/em><em>song from home<\/em><em>,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><em>the smell of dry hay <\/em><em>t<\/em><em>ook me <\/em><em>back<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><em>to <\/em><em>the <\/em><em>fields and meadows <\/em><em>of <\/em><em>childhood.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><em>And I found my home again.<\/em><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ein St\u00fcck Heimat tragen wir in unseren Herzen seit Kindheitstagen, bis wir sie in der Ferne wiederfinden.
